Up for auction is a clean copy of the rare Steve Lacy free jazz album "The Forest And The Zoo" Released on ESP Records (ESP 1060) in 1967. Original pressing. Cover is in great shape, which is rare for this album, which is prone to wear and aging. Notice the ring wear on other examples sold on eBay, and you'll see what I mean. Colors are bright, corners sharp, seams are strong with no splits. Back cover is really clean too, no writing or obvious age discoloration. Call it Near Mint-. The vinyl is equally nice, no obvious scratches or scuffs. No marks around spindle holes. Retains high gloss luster and sheen. Perhaps some very superficial signs of disc having been taken out of paper inner sleeve. Overall, very clean. Call it Near Mint-. Overall, a well-preserved copy of this free jazz classic with very few signs of previous handling or play.
