Up for auction is a very clean copy of the Hank Mobley album "A Caddy For Daddy" released on Blue Note Records (BLP 4230) in 1966.  Promotional stamp embossed in upper right corner of front cover.  This is an authentic original MONO first pressing.  Label reads "Blue Note Records - A Division Of Liberty Records, Inc., as does the back cover.  No Plastilyte "ears" in the dead wax, which is true of all copies of this release, as Blue Note Records had been bought out by Liberty prior to the release of this catalog number, BLP 4230, and no longer used the Plastilyte pressing equipment.  Thus, the first pressings of this record should have the Liberty labels, not the older New York labels, which Liberty recycled for many releases including this one.  And being a promotional copy suggests that this record was one of the first off the new record press at Liberty.  Nice. 
The cover is in great shape.  Graphics are bold and bright.  No real signs of ring wear or rubbing losses.  Corners look good, though lower right is slightly dinged.  Bottom edge is rubbed a little bit, but the seams are strong, intact, no fraying, no chips, no cracks, no splits.  Back cover is in nice shape, too, mostly bone white, no writing, no ring wear; although, is does show a faint amount of age discoloration in the upper left.  Upper left corner shows a mild ding.  Overall, presents very nicely.  I'd grade the cover Excellent Plus (EX+). 
The vinyl is in superb shape.  No signs of scratches, scuffs, or marks.  Faces are shiny with original luster and sheen.  Not much to suggest that this record has been played or handled much previously.  Labels are clean and bright.  I've play tested the record, and it sound clean and clean, no real background noise to speak of.  Great clean mono sound.  I'd grade the vinyl Near Mint (NM).
