Original with 446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address on both labels, deep groove. "RVG" inscribed in the dead wax on both sides. Thelonious Monk, piano, on all tracks. 3 tracks with the Monk Quintet that also includes Sonny Rollins, tenor sax; Julius Watkins, French horn; Percy Heath, bass; Willie Jones, drums from 1953. 4 tracks also includes Frank Foster, tenor sax; Ray Copeland, trumpet; Curly Russell, bass; Art Blakey, drums. Recorded in 1954.
Cover: VG++ Intact and clean. Very light aging on the front and back cover. Fine condtion.
Record: Fair+ Visually shows slight wear. There are 5 or 6 surface rub marks and some discoloration spots that appear to be in the vinyl pressing and not a result of wear. Side A has a series of click's and crackles on Track 1 & 2, less on 3 and even less on Track 4. Side B has similar cracling and groove noise on Track 1, less on Tracks 2 and 3. I have listed the record because of its rarity but those interested should note the described surface condition. Audibly checked.
