A monster roots reggae/dub/funk LP from Quebec soul/funk/R&B/reggae singer-songwriter Georges Thurston (25ieme Regiment, Tony Roman, Pagliaro

), recorded at studios in Jamaica and L.A., released on his own indie label (Zion Yant) and featuring a veritible who's who of reggae artists from bands like the Wailers, Heptones, Impact All-Stars and Coyabalites.

 

This is the coveted album that features the killer "La Loi de Jah",  but it doesn't stop there !   .....several other standouts here, like "Black Tracks", the excellent "Plein Lune", the smoooth "De la Plage au Coeur du Ghetto" ("From the beach to the heart of the Ghetto") and "La Musique Reggae" (with the same killer riddims as Reggae George's "Three Wicked Men").

 

Most of the reggae tracks were produced in Jamaica by Kush Dan I (aka Michael Gardine) who also co-wrote 5 of the tracks here.

 

With reggae giants Augustus Pablo, Aston Barrett, Ernest Wilson, Dean Fraser, Ansel Collins, Leroy Sibbles and several more (see photos for full credits)
