This auction offers a lot of eight early-to-mid-career Tom Petty & the Heartbreaker 45 rpm records with picture sleeves, all in superior condition. The collection includes the hard-to-find promo record of the live 1985 performance of "Needles and Pins" by the band with Stevie Nicks. These records play flawlessly (no scratches, skips or significant other surface noise). For Petty fans, these records are cool to have today, but they will be cool AND extremely valuable in just a few more years, like Beatles 45s. Here is the inventory of this lot in chronological order:

-- Listen to Her Heart / Don't Know What to Say to You (the band's last recording on the Shelter label)

-- Don't Do Me Like That / Casa Dega (Backstreet label)

-- Refugee / It's Rainin' Again (Backstreet label)

-- Here Comes My Girl / Louisiana Rain (Backstreet label)

-- The Waiting / Nightwatchman (Backstreet label)

-- You Got Lucky / Between Two Worlds (Backstreet label)

-- Needles and Pins / Needles and Pins (live with Stevie Nicks, scarce MCA label promo release)

-- Jammin' Me / Make That Connection (MCA label)

There is no writing, no stickers, no tears or seam splits on any of the sleeves (except "You Got Lucky," which has a small seam split at the bottom, mended with transparent tape). Four of the sleeves are in VG+ condition with minor creasing and/or ring wear. The other four are in EX or NM condition.  All of the records should be graded as EX or NM. All the labels are flawless (no handwriting or other blemishes), and the vinyl shows scant evidence that the discs have ever been played.
