Ultra-rare and OOP, original 1987 Product Inc/Torso limited edition UK/Euro pressing of the Swans' side project, Skin's "Blood, Women, Roses" LP (also known as World of Skin), an utterly brilliant but sometimes underrated chapter in Swans' storied career. Recorded and released around the same time as the epic"Children of God" LP, this was Michael Gira and Jarboe's project for their more experimentally raw and quieter songs, and this LP features all songs with vocals by Jarboe, much of the strongest material she would ever do.
Side A: 1. One Thousand Years (longer, better version than the CD version) 2. Cry Me a River 3. We'll Fall Apart 4. Still A Child Side B: 1. Come Out (a really cool 80s industrial-sounding song, almost dancey, not included on the "World of Skin"CD reissue, unavailable elsewhere) 2. The Man I Love (also not available on CD/mp3, an incredible cover of the George Gershwin classic, sincerely beautiful but also creepy as hell, one of Jarboe's best performances) 3. Red Rose 4. Blood on Your Hands (also one of her best ever songs)
An extra copy from my private collection, barely ever played at all, vinyl and cover still in near mint condition, plays perfectly like new. Seriously stunning sound, direct metal mastered, much richer and more vibrant than the CD versions. Includes the golden colored inner sleeve with lyrics and credits, plus a vintage Swans/Skin merchandise mailorder form.  Also a big plus, it includes a large foldout poster of Jarboe looking her gothic best with several snakes. It only came with initial copies of this record in 1987.
