I DO NOT CONSIDER 'MINT' IMPLIES 'UNPLAYED', BUT A RECORD GRADED AS 'MINT' NEEDS TO APPEAR AS 'UNPLAYED'. NOBODY CAN CLAIM A RECORD IS UNPLAYED (UNLESS IT IS FACTORY SEALED). CERTAINLY IN THE 50'S & EARLY 60'S, MANY RECORDS IN A SHOP WERE TAKEN OFF THE SHELF AND PLAYED, EVEN GIVEN TO THE POTENTIAL CUSTOMER TO TAKE IN A BOOTH TO PLAY THEMSELVES. IT COULD SUBSEQUENTLY GO BACK ON THE SHELF STILL TO BE SOLD AS NEW!
