• Kent Records are excited to announce the launch of a new singles label and logo. Our licensing deal with Detroit’s Pied Piper Productions was launched in January with the “Pied Piper Presents” CD and we felt that such an esteemed catalogue deserved its own vinyl 45 label and logo. Its mission is to make the Northern Soul classics and newly discovered unissued gems available in their originally intended format. 

• The Pied Piper label’s first release (PIPER 001) will be the fabulous first version of Lorraine Chandler’s Wigan classic ‘I Can’t Hold On’ backed by the evergreen and long unavailable ‘I’m Not Built That Way’ by the Hesitations. 

• The second release (PIPER 002) consists of two Detroit female soul standards; Mikki Farrow ‘Set My Heart At Ease’ and September Jones ‘I’m Coming Home’ that would cost a four figure sum should you need battered old vintage copies. Get them while they’re still fresh. - ACE RECORDS
