International Artists. THE 13th FLOOR ELEVATORS swept from Texas, creatively and culturally led by two early drug aficionados,
Stacy Sutherland and
Tommy Hall, continually coaxing along their perplexing singer,
Roky Erickson. After playing a Filmore East showcase in 1969 several labels sought to scoop up the group. As soon as this Mercury disc came out, two members left to play jazz. The other band members decided to break up.
