On offer is an original 1959 monaural pressing of Marty Robbins' Gunfighter Ballads, Columbia CL 1349.
The record plays fine, sounds very good -- full and bright. There is some occasional surface noise and the odd click and pop but nothing dramatic. No skips or catches. The vinyl has some of its original shine and gloss. Also has numerous hairline and other surface marks and some light scratches. Grades Very Good by the Record Collector magazine definition of Very Good; "The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch."
The cover is bright and firm but has several problems. Some scuffing and spotting in the lower right corner. A split at the top edge of about 5 inches. And two names written in the upper left corner on the back. See photos. Call it Very Good Minus.
I don't know why but photos of red record labels never seem to work. These labels are totally normal. But since the track listings are illegible in the photos. Here they are: Big Iron Cool Water Billy the Kid A Hundred and Sixty Acres They're Hanging Me Tonight Strawberry Roan El Paso In the Valley The Master's Call Running Gun Down in the Little Green Valley Utah Carol
