 THIS AUCTION IS FOR AN USED VERY RARE VINTAGE RECORD TITLED " WANTED FOR THE BIG BREAK- LA GRAN FUGA, WILLIE COLON, ACOMMPANIED BY ONE, HECTOR LaVOE" 

12" DIAMETER. RECORD LABEL FANIA. SPEED 33RPM. RELEASE YEAR 1971. ORIGINAL ITEM.

The record  is in VERY GOOD condition. The jacket sleeve is in very good condition , except for an inch splitting at the top right.

THE WANTED POSTER DESIGNED BY IZZY SANABRIA IS 11 INCHES X 22 INCHES IN SIZE AND LIGHTLY YELLOWED WITH AGE. IT HAS PIN HOLES AT THE CORNERS AS WELL AS A CHIPPED PIECE AT THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER.

Willie Colón a , born in the , to  Puerto Rican parents from Puerto Rican grandparents. He picked up the trumpet from a young age, and later switched to trombone, inspired by the all-trombone sound of  and . He spent some summers at his maternal grandmother’s sister’s (La finca de Celín y Ramón) farm in the outskirts of  on the road to neighboring .

At the age of 15 he was signed to  and at 17 he recorded his first album, which ultimately sold more than 300,000 copies. Due to fortuitous events, the main record producer at Fania at the time, , recommended  to him.

He has also acted in films, including roles in  (1983),  (1983) and  (1994).

Colón has been a civil rights, community and political activist since the age of 16.
