Musically Yes We Can showcases Lee Dorseys maturity, ably demonstrating his strong singing abilities. Many critics have said it is his best overall album and one of the greatest soul albums of the '70s.

This album showcases the most sophisticated funk and soul of its time as offered by The Meters. With a great variety of styles, sounds, and moods, it features some of Allen Toussaint's strongest writing. Several of the cuts were covered by major artists; the title track, by the Pointer Sisters, Robert Palmer with Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley and Ringo Starr cut Occapella.

Coral records originally released this Johnny Burnette Rockabilly classic, the Rock n Roll Trios first record.It featured Johnny Burnette and his brother Dorsey Burnette plus guitar master Paul Burlison.This collection features early rarities like the first two 78's (both sides) recorded by "fess". Professor Longhair classics like Mardi Gras In New Orleans and She Ain't Got No Hair. This RCA release features Part I and Part II of The Isley Brothers' rock masterpiece, Shout.On this rare recording from 1969, saxophonist Preston Love.is joined by the legendary Johnny Otis on piano and vibraphone, Clifford Soloman on tenor sax, and Shuggie Otis (Johnnys, then just 14 year old son) on guitar. Released in the 70s,this LP featured New Orleans' musical royalty; Lee Dorseys matured soul voicings, several of Allen Toussaints best songs,  all backed by the solid funk of The Meters.Epic records gathered up all Chuck Willis' Okeh recordings and put out this LP to commemorate his death in 1958. The first solo LP by the master of New Orleans' popular music,Allen Toussaint.Do You Love Me on the Gordy label by The Contours became one of Motown's first big crossover hits. The partying side of New Orleans represented in hits by Lee Dorsey Ride Your Pony, Get Ouit Of My Life, Woman. vAlign=top>Vee Jay records originally released this Jimmy Reed blues classic in 1959. It features several Reed musical icons.The Shangrilas 65 produced by eccentric genius, Shadow Morton, the second album featuring those teen queens, from Queens NY. With Give Us Your Blessing,the rousing Out In The Streets plus a wonderful version of The Ikettes I'm Blue.Professor Longhair came out of a short retirement to record this gem in 1974.
