This is an original 1960 Excello records Orange Label, 1st. release. Otis "Lightnin' Slim" Hicks, was the original "Hoo-Doo Man", and side-2,  track-1 "Hoo'Doo Blues" tells the tale. Every cut on here is a Swamp Blues classic; from "Long Leanie Mama" to "Bed Bug Blues" to "My Starter Won't Start" to "Feelin" Awful Blues" and on and on! A legendary Blues Man, Slim usually worked with just a drummer and sometimes Lazy Lester on Harmonica(Blow your harmonica Son!) and this is THE classic example of what Lightnin' Slim was all about. As to the condition, the vinyl has some hairlines( the vast majority are in the run-off???) and some moderate inner-sleeve//handling rubbing; A pro cleaning should help alot. The odd flaw about this vinyl, is that the labels on both sides ARE THE SAME: Side-1. The correctly placed side-1 label has a circle drawn around it in pen(see pics). The cover has heavy ring-wear//shelf rubbing on both sides, Top edge is VG, bottom edge is scuffed end to end, with a 2 1/" split in the middle; spine(faintly readable) is scuffed. There are re-issues that will look and probably play cleaner(newer?), and they'll certainly be less expensive, but if a record can have "Soul", then this one has a ton of it. I also listed LIGHTNIN" SLIM'S other classic LP, "BELL RINGER'', Today!!
