Innuendo A2/B2 (UK release)

This original UK 1991 pressing of Innuendo is one of the best I have ever seen and heard. It plays with immaculate audio that many sellers would grade as Mint. I have graded it as Mint- as it obviously isn't sealed. The cover is also in superb condition.

Visual grading

This vinyl has only been played once, or twice at most judging by the stunning audio and the fact that I can only detect a few barely visible spindle line on each label. It retains a lovely glossy sheen and there are only a couple of mega faint hairlines in total and there are certainly no scratches. There are two small 'sleeve rash' areas on each side but this often occurs on vinyls that have spent so long in a sleeve without seeing the light of day and they have no affect on the Mint quality of the audio as detailed below. This LP is now 26 years old and rarely have I seen one in this superb visual condition.

Play grading

'Innuendo' plays with superb definition and no discernible interference and even the quiet 'Spanish guitar' section plays with barely any static. One of the best versions I have heard in a long time it has great power and clarity. 'I'm Going Slightly Mad' is 100% stunning! It qualifies as Mint such is the incredible quality of this track. 'Headlong' also deserves a Mint grading as there is just no 'background' and no distortion either, absolutely superb. 'I Can't Live With You' and 'Ride The Wild Wind' more than match the preceding quality and again play with no interference. Even the fade out on the last track has no interference. It is worth noting that there is practically complete silence between tracks also. The audio on this side plays so strongly and with such warmth and depth it would be nigh on impossible to improve upon the breathtaking quality on offer here.

There is a little lead in static on Side Two but 'All God's People' then proceeds to play with sublime quality and no sound issues at all. 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' easily compares to the best I have ever heard of this classic track. There is no intrusive 'background' at all and grades as Mint without doubt. The intro to 'Don't Try So Hard' again plays beautifully which is rare as it is so quiet. The remainder of the track does not disappoint and plays with exceptional quality. 'The Hitman' plays loud and with genuine quality and no distortion and again grades as Mint. For such a quiet track 'Bijou' often displays some interference but there is no 'background' here to detract from the stunning audio once again. I'm running out of superlatives for this LP in case you hadn't noticed! The classic 'The Show Must Go On' ends the LP in immaculate style. So often I find it plays with some distortion (this is especially common on final tracks where the grooves can be pressed closer together) but here it is only minimal and is one of the greatest versions I have had the pleasure in listening to. Again there is no interference on the fade out which is such a rarity. A superb end to a stunning LP.

In summary this is easily the best original first press I have heard in a long time. It is getting harder to find this very collectable album in this condition so this is a genuine find and one any avid fan would love to own.

Cover

The glossy cover is Superb and has been kept in a pvc sleeve such is the wonderful quality. So often these white covers are discoloured but this one has retained its 'whiteness' incredibly well. The edges and spine are supremely clean with no rubbing and only the bottom right corner has a minimal amount of edge wear. The opening edge appears barely handled with only a couple of tiny 'bumps' towards the bottom corner. The back cover is also in beautiful condition with no marking. It would be very hard today to find a better original '91 cover in such impeccable condition.

Lyric inner

This is quite simply as new, I have never seen better. There are no marks not any creasing. It is 100% absolutely immaculate.

The labels

As stated there is minimal spindle wear but no writing on the labels etc
