Label & Number: Edison Blue Amberol 5706

Defects:   None

Record Condition (1 to 10 scale):   10

Comments:   Here's the one you have been waiting for.  A super rare 5700 series in near mint condition with an original box and lid - probably from a new/old Edison dealer stock.  This cylinder is unique in that it is one of only two cylinders dubbed from a needle cut master - no vertical cut master was ever made.  The recording was made at Lowe's Valencia Theater in New York on the "Wonder Morton" organ.  It was recorded on April 9, 1929 and was the last "remote recording" issued by Edison.  Some researchers estimate that only a couple hundred copies were made.  This cylinder would be a "crown jewel" in your collection.

Featured This Week:   During the next few weeks we'll be listing several dozen 5000 series Blue Amberol cylinders, all in excellent to near mint condition.  New listings will be added daily - don't miss this unique opportunity to acquire some of the most desirable cylinders in the Blue Amberol series.
