Mecano fue un grupo español de música pop, activo entre 1981 y 1992, periodo al que hay que sumar una fugaz reaparición en 1998, que duró apenas ocho meses a partir de la edición de un doble disco recopilatorio que incluía siete nuevos temas grabados para la ocasión.

Entre el cielo y el suelo es el título del cuarto álbum de estudio del grupo de tecno-pop español Mecano, que se publicó el 17 de junio de 1986. Este trabajo, el primero con su nueva discográfica BMG después de su ruptura con CBS, marcó un antes y un después en la trayectoria del grupo, iniciando con él una etapa de madurez creativa, conceptual y técnica que supondría su salto al éxito internacional.
