This is a very, very rare radio media kit prepared by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band around the mid 1960's when the band was nearing their peak with appearances on television and radio.  What makes this media kit rare is that it was only made available to high watt radio stations and to high volume concert promoters.  This kit contains letters of introductions by the band and the marketing agency, Athena Enterprises, Inc. of Denver, Colorado.  There is also a document profile issued by the Public Relations Department for Liberty Records/United Artists, Inc. in Los Angeles, California, and New York City, New York.
There are four (4) 8"x10" black and white photographs included.  The first picture is the band at a studio session;  the second is of all the members with individual pictures and names;  the third photograph is of all the members taken by a different type of camera or lens that would appear to have them with check on them;  and, the final picture is a picture of the band shown high on a building in New York.  We can assume this is the roof of the United Artists building in New York, but we are not sure where it was taken..... or when.
The record is the very coolest.  The one side is the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band singing "Mr. Bojangles", by far their biggest hit.  Side 2 of the record has an interview with Uncle Charlie himself, where he talks about his dog, Teddy.  Also, on side 2, the band does a Spanish fandango.  The record is 78 RPM.
The cover has a picture of Uncle Charlie and his dog, Teddy.  The picture looks old, but we have no idea when it was taken, and the band did not know either.
