Hello. For your consideration is this in excellent condition Grateful Dead live at the Hampton Coliseum on 5/4/79. This is a 2-lp, 180gm set in a full artwork covered gatefold. This was the live Dead offering for RSD 2014. This was only released on vinyl. The art was done by Kyle Fields. This was Brent Mydland’s 3rd show playing with the Dead. A must have for you Brent heads!

This set was only spun once. But because it is not brand new, I will call it used and in excellent condition. The gatefold is crisp with sharp corners. There is one very small corner bump...so small you can’t even see it in the pics. The original seal was the type with the perforated strip to open it, so that strip is gone, but the outer plastic sleeve with hype sticker is there and excellent. There is also an additional thick plastic sleeve over the original. The lps are stored in MOFI Original Master Sleeves (see last photo). This is a very rare piece of this concert which was only released on vinyl. There are only audience recordings other than this official sbd release. This is what was in the vault, and it is a rare and incredible sounding look at the Grateful Dead’s first concert at the Hampton Coliseum and Brent’s third show on 5/4/79. The 2-LP set features most of the band’s first-ever show at Hampton Coliseum from May 4, 1979 (and third with keyboardist Brent Mydland). Produced by David Lemieux. Grateful Dead Productions. Lacquers were cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman mastering, the release was pressed at RTI on two 180-gram LPs and housed in an old-school style gatefold jacket.
