A nice 1968 first UK pressing from the brilliant Beatles, who were prolific in the recording studio at the time - due to their retirement from touring and playing live.
Album after album included Revolver, Sgt.Pepper, The Beatles, Yellow Submarine, and these were interspersed by some truly incredible singles like Magical Mystery Tour, Hello Goodbye, Penny Lane, Paperback Writer, All You Need Is Love, Hey Jude....what an output!
This album was particularly highly rated by George Martin, but it was evidence of the beginning of some disparity too. They'd been apart and composed these tracks in that time - though in the studio they were getting a little more distant and putting their tunes together separately.
George Harrison laid down the finest piece of all the lads, with 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', he didn't have so many songs individually, but the ones he did record were breathtakingly good!!
This is a valuable album to The BEATLES latter releases, a superb double album loaded with great music.

This plays very well, the excellent music leaps from the grooves. The latest remastering of this album must have been challenging to better anything of George Martin's superb production skill. It's outstanding!

CONDITION;
The VINYL is VG++ overall, some light superficial surface scuff in places. These discs were cut very nicely, so the music has a dimension that projects this luxurious sound really well! There is one small feel-able mark on Rocky Raccoon, but in listening I didn't notice anything.

Labels are in clean VG++ CONDITION, no pen, stickers or tears.

The FULLY LAMINATED NUMBERED GATEFOLD TOP OPENING COVER is EX, some general light wear, bright with no writing or stickers.

The lyrics/poster has one partial seam split. The photos are decent, with tiny corner pinholes (except Paul'), and 2 black covers - not in top shape but presentable.
