This is an original U.K. pressing copy of the second LP by Northern Ireland punk group Stiff Little Fingers, released in 1980. Featuring lyrics by Irish journalist Gordon Ogilvie, SLF's best songs hit as hard as anything by the Sex Pistols or Clash. This LP includes versions of the singles "Gotta Getaway," "At the Edge," and "Nobody's Hero," along with "Tin Soldiers" (the album's sledgehammer closer), "Fly the Flag," "I Don't Like You," and another couple of nods to Jamaica, a cover of the Specials' "Doesn't Make It All Right" and a dub version of the early b-side "Bloody Sunday." The laminated jacket has light sticker residue and staining on the front cover, but is otherwise in fine condition (EX+). The lamination has separated from the cardboard in a few places, but there are no tears in it. The disc, unfortunately, is well played: it has a few small scratches on side 2 (which however have little to no effect on play), a lot of scraping and scuffing, and some loss of glossiness, and plays with moderate surface noise, though no skips or notable pops in the many parts I tested (VG). The record comes with a custom inner sleeve (EX).
I
am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two
decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate
from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have
play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
