This auction is for THE PILLS - 4 SONG MINI LP private press ww8008 the cover is vg+ looks great is autographed by band and got wet at one point so a couple of the signatures have smudged and the rear is a little wavy not bad and it still looks great.  All seams of the sleeve are solid no stickers or tears to the paper.  The record is vg+ great shape no scratches very clean this saw very little play and this is autographed to one side as well.  The Pills were a popular Tucson, AZ-based postpunk/new wave band featuring charismatic lead vocalist Brian Smith, Robin Johnson, Fred Cross and Winston Watson. They played a tight, melodic pop-punk style reminiscent of the New York Dolls, Generation X, the Knack and others. In the early 80s, joined by Brian's multi-instrumentalist brother Barry Smith, the band morphed into the more New Wave/New Romantic group Gentlemen Afterdark. The Pills and Gentlemen Afterdark remain legendary among Arizona music fans, and members of the band have gone on to success in numerous other bands.  So there you have it a pretty rare piece of AZ power pop history not many of these were made and how many have you seen autographed?
