Def Leppard’s debut album was released in 1980 and immediately put the rock world on notice that the band were destined for big things, with the album charting at no 15 in the U.K. and 51 in the U.S.. Produced by Tom Allom it featured many of the bands live favourites and some updated versions of early singles. The album achieved platinum status in 1989. The version included here is the rare Australian gatefold sleeve version.

The fourth studio album by Def Leppard was released in 1987, and is the band’s best-selling record – to date has sold over 25 million copies worldwide. It was no 1 in the U.K., U.S. and Australia. Produced by Mutt Lange the album took over 3 years to make featuring 7 singles in all, and has been nicknamed the Heavy Metal Thriller! Lasting 62 and half minutes, the album was, at the time, one of the longest albums ever issued on a single vinyl record, so for this release it has been made into a double LP for maximum sound quality.
