This is an original mono U.S. pressing copy of the sole LP by LA-area Hispanic group Cannibal & the Headhunters, released in 1965.  Along with bands like Thee Midniters and the Premiers (both of whom helped out on this LP, per a note on the jacket's back cover), the group was part of a thriving local music scene.  Their pop-music immortality was secured when they had the brilliant idea of adding the "Na nananana" chorus to the LP's title track (composed by New Orleans R&B singer Chris Kenner).  The record also includes covers of "The Boy from New York City," James Brown's "Out of Sight," Smokey Robinson and the Miracles' "My Girl," and others.  The jacket is close to pristine (M-).  The disc has some scraping, scuffing, and loss of glossiness, and it plays with some light popping in side 1, track 1, and otherwise with mostly light surface noise (VG+).

I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.

If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
