This is an ORIGINAL VINTAGE copy of Justin Hayward's (singer, writer, guitarist / multi-instrumentalist of The Moody Blues) first solo LP, "Songwriter". The MB had taken a break after their world wide tour to promote 1972's "Seventh Sojourn", Hayward and MB bassist John Lodge had put out a collaborative LP "Blue Jays" in 1975, after which Hayward spent time completing this solo lp that he played mostly by himself, produced by The Moody Blues longtime producer Tony Clarke, and aside from "Blue Jays", is the only solo album by any of the MB bandmembers that sounds anything like a MB album. For me at least, the best song on here is the closer, "Nostradamus", maybe the best Hayward wrote on his uneven solo projects. This is STILL SEALED IN SHRINK WRAP, the vinyl never touched. The gatefold cover has some typical minor corner rounding, and all corners are just poking through the shrink, and a small bend on the front along the spine edge. Other than that, this is NOT a CUTOUT, so there's NO saw marks, NO cut corners, and NO holes. Great copy. To add to this LP is a vintage first US Pressing of the single "Songwriter", b/w "Country Girl". The vinyl is great on both sides, and it comes with the original Deram * Decca * London * Phase 4" sleeve.
