This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the second and final LP by the Dirty Blues Band, released in 1968. The group was from Riverside, California, and played electric blues in the vein of the Butterfield Blues Band. Not quite as fiery as their debut -- the departure of steel guitarist Glen Ross Campbell (Misunderstood, Juicy Lucy) is likely a contributing factor -- their sophomore effort again serves up a mix of covers (notably three Willie Dixon-penned songs) and originals by lead singer Rod Piazza. (Piazza went on to form the group Bacon Fat, and in the early 1980s formed the longstanding blues group the Mighty Flyers.) The jacket has a small cutout hole, mostly light creasing and wear in the corners, light creasing along the spine,
and a small stain at the top seam on the front cover -- EX(+). The disc is clean with a little light scuffing, and plays with some light surface noise -- EX(+).
I
am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two
decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate
from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have
play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
