Hello and welcome to another Annabelle’s Auctions production. The only thing we love more than finding cool vintage stuff is offering the same swell items to you. We especially dig things from the Olden Days when Made in the USA was taken for granted. Annabelle's Auctions is extremely pleased to offer this extraordinarily rare first pressing vinyl LP copy of Tom Petty's now-classic 1994 solo album, Wildflowers. You will be the second owner of this exceptionally hard to come by item, of which there are estimated to be less than 5,000 in existence. Just to be clear and unequivocal: this is the 100% legit first pressing of the American edition from 1994; it is NOT an "import" or bootleg or the 2017 re-release of the album that came in the big box set! This copy was bought new in late April of 1995 after the original purchaser, at the time a student at George Mason, was turned on to the album by a boyfriend who took her to the April 9, 1995 Tom Petty concert at the Patriot Center. (She recalled to us that she wound up with the vinyl only because the music store she went to was out of the CD, but by that time the price of the less-popular vinyl format of the album had been marked down drastically.) Included with the album will be the original owner's ticket stub from this concert, a review of it clipped from the paper on the 11th, and a list of the songs performed that night written for her by the boyfriend, who only lasted through that summer of '95. This copy has been listened to but is in excellent condition. It plays cleanly throughout and the sound quality is truly amazing; if you've only ever heard this masterpiece digitally, hearing it on vinyl will truly be like hearing it for the very first time all over again. The only blemishes are superficial, such as a slight crease in the lower right front corner (see pics). It still has the original lyric sheet, and has been kept in a protective plastic sleeve since the 1990's. Christmas is right around the corner, and this will make an unrivaled gift for the Tom Petty fan in your life. We ship every other day through USPS, mostly through Priority or Parcel, but for LPs, books, DVDs and other eligible items we also offer Media Mail. Media Mail is subject to inspection by USPS, and the Seller cannot be held accountable for any damage that may occur at the hands of clumsy USPS employees during shipment. If payment is made before noon Midwest time, we will do everything we can to ship that very same day. RETURNS: In the unlikely event a refund needs to be requested, we reserve the right to issue a full refund upon return or no refund at all; absolutely no partial refunds will be given! The only negative feedback we have ever received came from someone trying to extort a partial refund through a threat of negative feedback, so if that’s your game please look elsewhere!
