This is an overall fine copy from a 1980 mono U.K. reissue of the debut LP by the Who, originally released in late 1965.  A landmark recording at the time and a touchstone for both '60s and '70s punk, the Who's debut made a big splash in the group's home country, and the title track was a big hit in Britain and many other European countries as well across much of Britain's former empire.  Neither had as much impact in the U.S., though.  The LP was released here in early 1966 with a different cover, and as was then common, one of its tracks, a cover of Bo Diddley's "I'm a Man" (to my ears its weakest), was replaced by the b-side "Circles (Instant Party)."  The jacket is close to M- with some light creasing and a little light staining on the back cover (EX+).  The disc has a couple of dings on side 1 that cause some popping.  Otherwise it's clean with a few hairline scrapes, and plays in the EX range with some light surface noise -- overall VG+.

I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.

If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
