KEEF HARTLEY BAND "LITTLE BIG BAND
DERAM RECORDS Cat# SDL 4 STEREO
First and only pressing.
○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○
This band have a storied history, named from Artwoods and JOHN MAYALL'S BLUESBREAKERS drummer man Hartley, it was guitarist and singer MILLER ANDERSON who really was the principal player, and composer!
They were also a WOODSTOCK inclusion, yet were unlucky to miss being on the film or either of the soundtrack albums.
It's rumoured that the dour Mr Hartley - or the manager - refused to let them be recorded.... but also that the equipment failed or wasn't ready when they played. Either way it was to doom them to obscurity instead of propelling them to international fame and fortune.
This is the example of their sound on a live stage.
Their several original albums stand as proof of their quality though, and fans of Miller Anderson can place them alongside his one brilliant solo album too.
