This was the debut album from one of my favorite hard rock bands.  These early years of the band, before powerful vocalist Ian Gillan joined the band, featured almost a psychedelic sound, with frequent use of orchestral arrangements.  Besides being the debut from the band, it also has proven to be one of the band’s most popular, as well as critically acclaimed, albums.  The single, “Hush”, is a cover of the Joe South classic.  The album also includes three other covers, including one of “Help” that I think is fantastic!  In addition it includes two incredible instrumentals that especially highlight the amazing talents of both keyboardist Jon Lord and guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. The album was released on Tetragrammaton in 1968, number T-102.  This is the original release of the album.  The album cover shows no ring wear and very light corner and edge wear.  All seams are clean, sharp, tight, and intact. Original plastic shrink remains. The cover grades EX-.
