This rare copy of the six-eye original Columbia label CL 1779  of Bob Dylan LP is a great piece to add to your collection. The cover is VG++ with some light rubbing as seen on the front cover photo. There is also a short 1/2 inch seam split at the top right corner that has been repaired from inside the cover and is tight and strong and barely visible. The vinyl is VG+ with some light marks and scuffs from handling to play, but plays beautiful with no distractions. Stamper is 1-E

Hammond used just two microphones: one on Dylan’s voice and one on his guitar. Because of this, “[m]any hardcore fans will only listen to the record in mono,” writes Brian Hinton in Bob Dylan Complete Discography. “[T]he stereo separation of this album is brutal, with vocal and guitar each occupying a virtual exclusive zone.” The mono is the one to have, and the six-eye is the one to collect.
