TWO OLD 78 rpm JIMMIE RODGERS COUNTRY STRING BAND RECORDS TWO c1920s String-Band Country records onBLUEBIRD & VICTOR labelby JIMMIE RODGERS--The first BLUEBIRD record is:-33-0513-A The Soldier's Sweetheart (Rodgers - Singing With Guitar)- 33-0513-B The Sailor's Plea (Jimmie Rodgers with the Three Southerners - Singing with Instrumental Trio)--The second record on VICTOR is:-21636-A (41742) Memphis Yodel (J. Rodgers - Singing and Yodeling with Guitar)- 21636-B (45098) Lullaby Yodel (J. Rodgers - Singing and Yodeling with Guitar)OVERALL CONDITION:TINY chips on edge of BLUEBIRD record. There are a few SCRATCHES & MARKS on both records, but they are overall in pretty nice shape.Labels also in good shape PLAYING ON PLAYER:Both records have a few snaps, crackles & pops. There is constant LOW background noise throughout, but the music always comes through quite well. The needle "clicks" over a scratch occasionally but there are no skips or stuck needle areas on either record.These are early Country String Band records with great music on BLUEBIRD & VICTOR labels in quite “playable" condition.
