This is an overall fine copy from a 1971 repressing (1B/1B matrix #s) with the original tan Vanguard labels of the third solo LP by British folk guitarist and singer Bert Jansch, originally released in 1966 in the U.K. and in 1970 in the U.S. Jansch was one of the most influential participants in the '60s British folk scene, both as a solo artist and as a member of Pentangle. This album sees him performing mostly traditional material like "Black Water Side," "Pretty Polly," "Nottamun Town," and a near-ten minute version of the title track. The U.S. version of the LP adds his cover of "900 Miles," which originally appeared on his second U.K. LP, It Don’t Bother Me. The jacket has a couple of notable flaws: a 1½” tear on the front cover, and moderate to heavy seam wear. It also has ring wear on the front cover, and staining and wear on the back cover. Overall grade VG-. The disc, by contrast, is clean with a little light dinging and scraping, and plays with some light surface noise -- EX(+). The record comes with the original Vanguard label inner sleeve.
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
