This is a fine copy from a limited edition 1994 reissue of the uber-rare debut LP by the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, originally released in a very small pressing on the Fifo label in 1966. One of the stranger groups to come out of southern California in the late '60s, WCPAEB went on to release several more LPs, three on the Reprise label. On their debut, they combine folk-rock (including two Dylan covers), straight-up rock and roll (versions of "You Really Got Me" and "Louie Louie"), pop (notably early versions of two songs that they would revisit on their Reprise debut), and a couple of more experimental tracks. The LP isn't as polished as their later work, but arguably that's one of its charms. This release was the first to reissue the LP in its entirety (a 1980 comp reissued about half the LP augmented with a few other tracks from the period). The record is housed in a plain white jacket with cover slicks on the front and back covers. The cover slicks have some light rippling, but they and the jacket are otherwise close to pristine (EX+). The front cover slick reproduces the original LP's front cover art. The disc is clean with a little light scraping and scuffing, and plays with minimal surface noise (M-). The record comes with an insert (M-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
