Very rare, first issue pressed, as issued with an uniique custom cover.

This is a SUPERB copy of this single.
The 2 wonderful tunes were originally being recorded for their next album, but the record company were pressing Brian Epstein for a new single, so they put these tracks out as soon as they could - and thus these two amazing songs didn't get included as brilliant lead tracks for the 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' album!
It would have made it even more astonishing, but Penny Lane WAS issued as a 45 with 'Strawberry Fields Forever', and only the first edition of UK pressings were in this custom paper sleeve.

Condition;
The VINYL is in NEAR MINT shape, plays GREAT and sounds superb!

The LABLES are EXCELLENT with centre intact and no stickers or tears.

The PICTURE COVER is VG+, no stickers, a little wavy, but bright and clean. There's about a 4cm split seam at the top left by the opening, the actual opening itself is nice with no damage.

A nice Beatles collectable.
