ARTIST:  Sophie Tucker

TITLE:  A Collection Of Songs She Has Made Famous

LABEL/NUMBER:  Decca Records Set A-396 – Includes 3 discs numbered 23420 thru 23403.

YEAR:   1951 – there is no date shown on the Set but I suspect this is the 78 RPM version of an 10 inch LP issued by Decca in 1951 titled the same.

TRACKS:  Please see scans.

DISC CONDITION:  The discs are in VG condition or better with lots of gloss. There are surface rubs, scuffs and scratches but none look to be of concern. In fact, I feel several sides would qualify as VG+.

COVER CONDITION:  The book style Album Cover is VG at best with no splits to the Inner Sleeves and with a “bonus” piece of cardboard, apparently from the era and presumably meant to be “filler” to protect the records. The spine and the rest of the Cover are still solid except for some delamination and tearing of the “pasteover” artwork on the Front Cover. It appear to be “bubbling” up and is a bit torn (see pix).

AUTOGRAPH: The inside Cover appears to have an inscription to someone and the written autograph of Sophie Tucker. I will not attempt to interpret the inscription nor can I provide any provenance for the Autograph, although I have no reason to suspect that it is not genuine. In fact, I recently found another of these Albums on eBay with an Autograph and to my untrained eye, the pattern of the inscription and the autograph matched!
