White Label Test press/Promo of the Audiophile Japan King 1976 issue from the 1976 Mehta & the Israel PO of the Mahler 1st Symphony. The three characters to the right of the word Stereo on the labels in the box tell us this is the promo. This uses the 1W1W master stampers of the UK Decca SXL SXL 6779 made by the excellent Harry Fisher. Most of the Deccas are issued as London's in Overseas issues to avoid confusion with the US Decca label. Sound to these is brilliant, they are pressed from the UK metalwork on to lovely quiet Japanese vinyl, in the silk textured sleeve with pasted over frame rears, in antistatic inners, quality all the way, where by this time the Uk sleeves are thin card, making this the equivalent of a luxury issue, almost unheard of to find one that is the white label promo of it, as here. They are always the first off the presses for checking sound quality, and also for sending out to the reviewers, so will always be sought after for that reason. I have a handful I am listing this week, in an audiophile list.
Our ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. Here is another beauty of that type. We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £10, then no extra charge. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
