Nirvana ~ Nevermind DGC 24425.

This is the first US vinyl pressing from 1991.  This is NOT the club version.  This is the real thing...1991 DGC first US vinyl pressing

Jacket is in very nice condition.  Has very minimal signs of wear in the corners.  Cover is clean.  Has a few light minor creases along the left and top spine, maybe about 1/8-1/4 of an inch each.  Not too noticeable unless you tilt it and the light hits them just right.  Check out the photos.  I've tried to take some close up photos (which probably makes them look worse than they actually are but I want to be as thorough as I can, as this is an extremely rare album and I want to set the best expectations that I can for the buyer).  The back of the jacket has a couple of similar light creases along the right spine and a couple of very light surface markings that may be noticeable if you tilt it under a light and the light hits them just right, not creases just some light surface marks that I only noticed when really examining things with a fine toothed comb before listing.  No major creases or anything all that significant.  Overall the jacket is clean and in very nice condition.

Includes the original inner sleeve.  There is some creasing on the inner sleeve and about an inch and a half seam split on the bottom of the inner sleeve.  See photos.  The vinyl itself has been kept in a plastic sleeve since before I bought it in order to preserve the original inner sleeve from further seam splitting.

Under normal light the vinyl itself looks nice. When you put it under a bright light and tilt it around you can see the vinyl does have quite a few hairlines but nothing deep that could be felt with a finger and nothing that affects playback. All tracks on both sides were test played prior to listing. I purchased this album "used" at my local record store about 20 years ago and had never played it until today to test it prior to listing.  It has been kept in a resealable plastic sleeve since I bought it with the original paper that the record store had taped to it.  See last photo.

I believe a full audio test is the best way to judge the vinyl itself, especially something this rare.  I did a full play test on my Sony turntable today prior to listing. The following is the breakdown of the play test:

Side 1

Overall the audio sounds great. There are some very light bits of a “crackle” that can be heard in between a couple of the tracks and a tiny bit during some of the soft intros before the music really kicks in on the track. It is not very significant and not audible when the music kicks in but I thought it was worth mentioning.  Otherwise, No skips and overall audio quality is great.

Side 2

Basically the same as side 1. There is some very very light “crackling” in between a couple of the tracks and some of the very soft passages. Nothing that is distracting or really evident when the music actually kicks in. I just want to be as thorough as possible with my description because of the rarity of this album and the high price tag that comes with it. Any other album I probably wouldn’t even think to mention it. No skips and overall audio quality is great.

Basically on both sides there is just some very light "crackling" in between tracks and a couple of the very quiet parts.  I took pretty detailed notes of how each track played.  Let me know if you have any additional questions about the audio, the jacket or the vinyl itself.  I have done my best to give the best representation of the condition that I can because the descriptions I usually see for these is so vague that you have no clue what you are getting and I want to set the most accurate expectation that I can.

NO SKIPS!

Vinyl will be shipped outside of the jacket to prevent seam splits unless you request it is shipped inside of the jacket.

Sales over $750 (shipping and tax included) require a signature upon delivery per eBay policy. Payment must be received within 24 hours or the order will cancelled.

Because this album is so rare, there will be no returns on the album for any reason so please be sure before you buy.  I will not give partial refunds or anything like that.  I’ve given as thorough of a description as possible but please reach out to me if you have any questions or need any further information BEFORE you purchase.  I respond right away unless its in the middle of the night, I usually respond first thing in the morning.
