DESCRIPTION:  The Rolling Stones- 1st self titled  LP.  Early UK pressing, the first version with the longer version of "Tell Me". It has deepgroove unboxed  Decca labels,  2A/3A matrix and the original, correct "Handling & Playing" inner sleeve. "Clarifoil" front laminated sleeve is also in unusually good condition.

LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER:  Decca MONO  LK 4605

YEAR OF RELEASE: 1964

COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK.

CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): EX/VG+. Vinyl is very clean with a nice dark sheen. Played majority of this today, including all of Side One. Sits flat on the turntable. Music is clean, clear and loud throughout . Cover is in very clean condition, way better than is usually seen. It  has minimal edgewear , minimal cornerwear and minimal creasing. Front of sleeve is flat as a mirror. Decent shape retained to fully legible spine. Rear of sleeve has light yellowing and a very small "1" sticker (above MONO print on top edge, left hand corner) that possibly prevents EX grade. Ive not tried to remove it. Immaculately clean labels- check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears.  Original inner is very clean with no splits and fully attached poly.

GRADING SYSTEM: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.

I am just starting to sell off my personal Blues record collection, built up over 40 years and including many records from Blue Horizon, Blue Liberty etc.
