Review from another site: Long Distance Call is a great album that features mostly songs that aren't seen on a lot of other RL Burnside albums. What makes this album unique compared to his other acoustic albums is the complete lack of any uptempo numbers. All the songs on here are slower numbers, and RL's guitar playing really shines on this set of songs. Of the 6 or so RL Burnside albums I own, this is probably his most intricate guitar playing I've heard. -- Joe DeMattei
