Formed in Berkeley, California while studying at university, the group wasted no time in putting together their debut release, a self-titled two-track single, in 2014. A handful of demos followed before the band focused on recording their debut album. Recorded by Ryan Ellery (Just Friends, Meet Me in Montauk) and originally self-released in 2016, Best Buds was eventually picked up by indie label Counter Intuitive after earning the band plaudits for their slacker-styled, emo-tinged punk rock.... -- Allmusic
