This was originally released in 1974 as a single record with the two performances from this concert (C Jam Blues & Perdido) that had the strongest aura of "jam session" about them. But the show included a solid opening set by the working band of the time. This Deluxe Edition is a 3-disc set that features 74 minutes of previously unreleased material. This is the entire set at Carnegie Hall as it was originally played, and it includes new liner notes by Jazz Historian Michael Cuscuna and a new foreword by original notes writer, Sy Johnson.
