1975 New Old Stock Audiophile King Records of the 1950 Mono FFRR (still in true mono of Clemens Krauss & the VPO in Die Fledermaus with Hilde Gueden & Julius Patzak. The tapes for this legendary definitive recording were just 25 years old at the time it was made, and the Japanese were, as so often, the first to note the necessity of getting this back in the catalogue in a new pressing. It is as significant as the Busch Brandenburgs, or the Casals Bach Suites for me. Krauss is a magical conductor and these are great voices in front of the VPO, the greatest of all orchestras. The sound way surpasses the 1950 Decca Lps, as the transfer technology (improved R2R's and Amps) extracts more from the tape. I bought the back room contents of a hi fi shop 20 years ago, and it included mainly lps that the owner considered the best pressings. He would check the quality of the lp and seal them. I am only now getting around to selling these. This series is wide band ffrr red and silver London  labels. I love the sound of these. The sleeve looks near mint, and the package is flat. Two 46 year old new looking records. This is the one for users of modern high end cartridges, this will play great on a narrow profile stereo or mono cart. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water.  This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
