Diana Ross is the eponymous debut studio album by American singer Diana Ross, released on June 19, 1970 by Motown Records. The ultimate test to see if the former Supremes frontwoman could make it as a solo act, the album was overseen by the songwriting-producing team of Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson, who had Ross re-record several of the songs the duo had recorded on other Motown acts. Johnny Bristol, producer of her final single with The Supremes, contributed on The Velvelettes cover "These Things Will Keep Me Loving You."

The album reached number 19 on the US Billboard 200 and peaked at number one on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Diana Ross would later go on to sell 500,000 copies in the United States.[2] Ross' first solo single, "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)", sold over 500,000 copies in the US, but was somewhat of a disappointment in terms of chart success, when it charted at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. Its follow-up, a cover of Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", peaked at number one on the Hot 100, selling approximately 1,245,000 copies in the US, while garnering a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

A bit about me. I grew up on the 60’s/70’s and loved to collect music records. I have a huge collection of Rock (top 40) LP and 45 Vinyl records. I also worked in radio so I have promo records too. I AM NOT A TRUE “RECORD COLLECTOR” SO MY GRADINGS ARE BASED ON MY EYE AND “LISTENABILITY” FACTOR. I Follow my own grading system. My records will never be rated Mint (or NM) because to me MINT is new. I believe Excellent is the best a played record can be. I am conservative and probably under rate my listings.

I have taken great care with my Vinyl Collection.  Records are from a smoke-free, dust free environment. Always cleaned prior to playing. Then returned to their case (you will see that there is a number on the top left of the cover -these represent the location the album is found. We catalog all records as part of our process.)

Cover may show signs of handling and shelf wear, record shows gentle handling and minimal play, but may have few hairline scratches that do not affect playback.   I visually grade all my records as accurately as possible. Please look closely at all pictures, and ask any questions you may have before buying. Customer enjoyment and satisfaction is our 1st priority!

Turntables are pro models, always balanced and maintained and needles are high quality.

Item will be packed well in Cardboard Box within 2 days of payment.
