The cover songs were selected to reflect their roots straight from Peggy Lee to Chuck Berry and Motown.
The album secured 21 consecutive rounds at No. 1 in the U.K. charts, and with its cover photo of four blank,
half-exposed faces floating in the dark, it became a new rock 'n' roll icon that had outgrown its idol status.
