FIRST UK PRESSING NOTES

First issue.
Originally Released with the cover hidden under black shrink wrap with a round Wish You Were Here sticker on the outside of the shrink wrap.  Spine is narrow (pinched) at the top and bottom and wide in the middle on some covers, and uniformed on others (like all spines). Issued with lyrics on a die cut inner sleeve  and a glossy postcard, with jagged edges, of a diving man.(MISSING)

This version's inner sleeve is die cut on 3 of the 4 corners. Another version () is die cut on all corners.
On label side 1, Shine On You Crazy Diamond Part 5 is credited to "Waters-Gilmour-Wright" (later have "Waters" only).
Opening at top center with notch.
Matrix variants A1 / B3 are the first press of this record, other matrix are further pressings but still first issue of this LP.

RECORD IS EXCELLENT+

IT WOULD BE GRADED NEAR MINT BUT THERE IS A VISIBLE RUB MARK ON SIDE 2 (SEE PICS) JUST COSMETIC, ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT ON PLAYBACK WHATSOEVER BUT CAN BE SEEN WHEN TILTED IN LIGHT ONLY 

LOVELY WITH A DEEP GLOSSY MIRROR LIKE NEW RAINBOW SHEEN TO THE VINYL SURFACES WHICH ARE CLEAN AND BRIGHT. OBVIOUSLY ONLY PLAYED SPARINGLY IN THE LAST 47 YEARS. SUPERB !

AS MENTIONED ABOVE, I CAN ONLY SEE THE ONE BLEMISH ON SIDE 1 ONLY, 

NOTHING AT ALL ON SIDE 2 !! 

EVEN WHEN VINYL IS TILTED, UNDER A STRONG LIGHT, RESULTING IN A SUPER AUDIO PLAYBACK, 

THEREFORE, A GREAT AUDIO EXPERIENCE WHEN PLAY-TESTED ON MY REGA TURNTABLE 

THE FIRST PRESS RECORD SLEEVE IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION, THE WHITE CARD SLEEVE IS USUALLY VERY DIRTY OR MARKED BUT NOT THIS ONE !! (SEE PICS) 

NICE AND CLEAN WITH MINIMAL HANDLING WEAR ON FRONT , ALSO CLEAN ON THE UNLAMINATED CARD REVERSE

 (QUITE DIFFICULT TO FIND AS NICE AS THIS !!! ) 

NO CORNER RUB PRESENT, JUST A TINY EDGE RUB, WITH AN UNCRUSHED PINCHED SEAM AND THE SPINE IS STILL JUST LEGIBLE AND THE OPENING EDGE IS CLEAN AND DEFINED. (SEE ALL PICS) VERY NICE!!

WHITE INNER IS ALSO IN NEAR MINT CLEAN CONDITION NO SPLITS, RARELY LEFT THE SLEEVE UNTIL TODAY TO PHOTOGRAPH (SEE ALL PICS)

HARVEST PICTURE LABELS ARE IN SUPERB CONDITION (SEE PICS) WITH JUST FEINT SPINDLE MARKS CONFINED TO THE DISC CENTRE ONLY
