PLEASE PLEASE ME/ Beatles Description   Appearance As was customary in 1963, the monaural version was released on March 22 and the stereo version on April 26. 
This is the only case among Beatles albums where the mono and stereo versions were released on different dates.
 Although the album was recorded in an extremely short period of time (only one day, three days in total including the four previously 
released songs), it was a huge hit when it was released. 
The album was a huge hit when it was released, spending 30 consecutive weeks at number one in the UK's Melody Maker magazine.
It was the second album, "With the Beatles," that pulled the "Please Please Me" album down from the number one spot.
In Japan, the album was released in 1966 as a "commemorative disc" with a different song order and jacket design and
 a photo book under the title "Stereo! This is the Beatles Vol. 1" was released in 1966.
＊This is the original Japanese record and is also valuable as a red disc in good condition.
