1st Issue on Black Labels with Silver Printing . Label Variation : Two Songs on each side of the labels were printed above the spindle hole . Ollie written in black marker on Label Side 1 .

11423 / 11424 etched in runouts. AT 3 stamped sideways in runout . D stamped sideways in runout .

Vinyl shows quite a bit of scuffing / scratching which adds additional surface noise throughout the album . Clicking and Popping too . Plays Well . Sounds Surprisingly Good considering all the scuffing and scratching but far from a clean sound .

Titled “ Ray Charles “ but often referred to as “ Rock & Roll “ . This album was the third in a series of six albums released by Atlantic Records in 1956 & 1957 to showcase the label’s rhythm and blues music . The albums all used similar artwork and were numbered in series from 8003 to 8008 .

No Blue Fan on Front Cover . Full Dynamics - Frequency Spectrum printed in the upper left corner of back cover . High Fidelity 8006 is printed below Atlantic on upper right corner of back cover . A black fan is printed above Ray Charles at the top center of back cover .
