Switched-On Bach (original 1968 LP pressing by “Walter” Carlos) MS 7194
This item is a USED LP record of the 1968 album “Switched-On Bach”, by the then-named Walter Carlos, and indicated as such on the record’s label and the jacket.
This record belonged to my parents, who bought it shortly after they had purchased a copy for me, and they decided they liked it too. However, as they rarely actually listened to any of the records in their collection, I think this copy was not given very many playings.
While it has been moved between five houses over the decades, it was always properly stored on their “record shelf” inside a closet, and thus not exposed to direct sunlight or unusual temperatures or at odd angles.
I preparation for this sale, I inspected the LP and jacket. I used appropriate equipment to clean the LP, and played it once on an audiophile turntable to establish its playability. While it does have the expected clicks and small pops, it seems to be free of any scratches or other defects. The jacket is in good condition, with wear patterns from handling and storage.
I would like to find a new home for this vintage classic.
****** I ALSO have for sale another copy of "Switched-On Bach", as well as LPs of the sequel album "The Well-Tempered Synthesizer" and the RCA 'rival', "The Moog Strikes Bach" by Hans Wurman. ******
