Inners:  N/A

Year:  1949

Notes:

Part of a large collection of high grade, late 1950's - early 1970s Soviet (USSR) jazz.  I am doing my best with translations, but in many cases I will have to leave it up to the buyer to determine artists, songs titles, etc.

eBay does NOT have USSR, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, or, even Russia, as options for country of manufacture.  I used Russian Federation, which is not correct, but the closest available.

Approximate translation from Google Translate (if possible)

Shipping All 78's are packed between 2 pieces of cardboard, then wrapped in bubble wrap, placed inside an LP mailer, and, finally, packaged in a 14"x14"x4" mailer with ample packing material to ensure your item arrives safely.  Please be aware that these costs are reflected in shipping price.

Due to fluctuations in shipping prices, I am no longer listing costs here.  However, my US shipping policy remains the same: You pay ONLY for shipping on the first item.  In other words, buy 100 listings and you pay ONLY the cost of shipping the most expensive item.

International shipping is based on weight.

***PLEASE BE AWARE: Import fees and tariffs are NOT included in my prices.  These are the sole responsibility of the purchaser and can be significant on higher priced items.  I will NOT mark merchandise as "gift" or declare values lower than the purchase price.  Thank you for understanding.***

As always, complete satisfaction is guaranteed or your money back!  ***INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS, please wait for invoice before submitting payment on multiple purchases.***

VJM Record Grading

N (78) M (LP). As new and unplayed (there are virtually no 78s that can categorically be claimed to be unplayed).

N- (78) M- (LP). Nearly Mint, but has been played. No visible signs of wear or damage.

E+ (78) VG+ (LP). Plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling, such as tiny scuffs from being slipped in and out of jackets.

E  (78) VG (LP). Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches.

E- (78) VG- (LP). Still shiny but without the lustre of a new record, few light scratches.  LP: Some wear, scratches and scuffs, but no skipped or repeat grooves.

V+ (78) G+ LP. V+ is an average condition 78 in which scuffs and general use has dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced. LP: Below average with scuffs and scratches on fewer than half the tracks. No skips or repeat grooves.

V (78) G (LP). Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive.

V- (78) G- (LP). Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy greying in loud passages. Music remains loud in most passages. Surface noise and scratches well below music level. LP: Lowest Grade. Audible scratches, etc. on more than half the tracks. Listening uncomfortable.

G+ (78). Grey throughout but still serviceable. Music begins to sound muffled. Heavy scratches.

G (78). Quite seriously worn and scratched, but music level is still higher than surface noise.

G- (78). Music still prominent, but wear and scratch damage extensive.

F (78). Most of music remains audible over surface noise, but listening now uncomfortable.

P (78). Unplayable.

SOUND:

I prefer not play grade records, as my impression of the sound quality will, likely, be much different than yours.  HOWEVER, if anything you purchase does not meet your standards, simply contact me to arrange a complete refund - including return shipping.

LABEL/COVER/SLEEVE GRADES:

I will do my best to accurately convey any imperfections, but please look over pictures carefully.

NM has no noticeable flaws and is rarely used

EX is a very high grade but may have the most minor imperfection(s) that do not detract from the overall impression of the jacket, such as corners not being perfectly sharp.

VG+ has a flaw(s) on AT LEAST one side that is visible, but is/are not overly distracting (such as light wear or discoloration or CLEAN writing/sticker, corner(s) dinged, minor discoloration, or other minor flaws, up to and including minor splits).  Any splits will be specifically noted.  Generally speaking, this grade is used for items that show LIGHT wear but no damage.

VG has imperfection(s) that one notices at first glance that begin(s) to distract (such as shelf wear, minor ring wear, a more pronounced split, shelf wear, etc).  Generally speaking, this grade is used for items that show moderate wear, but no damage.

G has some sort of distracting imperfection that clearly detracts from the appearance and will be described.

As always, I will happily issue a FULL refund (your choice of either cash or credit toward another item) if you are unhappy for ANY reason and contact me within 30 days of receiving a record.  In most cases I will ask that the record be returned.

Assume all records come in plain, white sleeves unless otherwise noted/photographed (this is easiest for listing purposes - I will occasionally surprise a buyer with a company sleeve).

Finally, I do not believe in using reserve prices.  I will list opening bids of the minimum I am willing to accept for a record.  If it's bid on, it is selling.
