From my PERSONAL Collection - bought used a few year ago, and just played on my new Denon turntable.
Yeah - I was big into Quad in the day - had the top of the line JVC receiver, four Advents and two turntables - one just for quad - and a quad reel-to-reel deck...
I rate/price these LPs on sound mostly - then cover, inserts, LP sleeve, etc. I care about the sound the most.
I've cleaned these LPs with my discwasher and Zerostat - if you need more than that, you have some dirty LPs!
I'll be listing my entire Quad Collection (about 100), as I record them - some fairly rare ones in the mix... Look out occasionally for new listings.
Some very rare ones indeed!
Original 1974 US LP on COLUMBIA RECORDS CQ 32858 BLUE OYSTER CULT "Secret Treaties"
This is a QUADRAPHONIC pressing SQ
VG, both sides. Jacket in fair condition, front is just plain dirty, some stains on back - see photos. Original LP sleeve - slight opening on bottom and one side. I will note any issues I heard below:
Side #1: Minor marks - some pops/clicks during this side - light noise in-between songs. Side #2: Minor marks as well - background noise in between songs and during quiet parts and a small click or two... a lot of clicks on "Astronomy" - worse song on the album...
This is not a pretty looking album or cover...
Not one of the quietest LPs I have..... listenable, but not museum quality by any means.
Records have been cleaned, sleeved, play tested and protected in an outer sleeve. I pack carefully and ship in a new or used, but in good shape, LP mailer with the LP outside the original sleeve.
The record play through fine. Maybe more cleaning might clear it up?
These results are on my equipment. You may or may not hear the same.
Will combine shipping on LPs - $3.00 additional on top of the highest shipping quoted within order.
